Elvis Collectible Store Elvis Lives!! My first memories of Elvis were of the new rockin', hip swiveling, "makes the girls swoon", artist that burst onto the mid-50's music scene. All my friends loved him, but I didn't like him so much. I liked ballads. Then I heard "Love Me Tender"....and I really liked It! Then he went to the Army, and on returning, more of his music seemed to be ballads. I liked that too!! Time went on, and I guess rock grew on me. Elvis became an institution....huge billboards in Las Vegas, glittery jumpsuits, drugs, he grew fat and couldn't swivel so well any more....still the voice and the performer remained. And like the Beatles, I came to really like Elvis. Elvis died....or did he? I have heard of all kinds of Elvis sightings all over. I recently had a stopover in the Memphis airport and could have sworn I saw Elvis in a shop window (or was that an Elvis costume?) Elvis lives on......in our memories, the music, the trinkets, mugs, photos and on. The Elvis Collectible Store hopes to keep that memory alive by bringing you some of those photos, music, memorabilia, posters and more. Come and visit! Elvis really does live! |
